Tempered ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal development and learning application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Data stored on your device only:

• Your learning progress (completed lessons, streaks, activity dates)

• Saved quotes, moves, and reflections

• App settings and preferences (notification times, appearance, focus area)

• Profile information (name, photo, color preference)

This data is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and local file storage. We do not transmit this data to any server.

Subscription data:

• If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements.

• RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to track your subscription status. No personal information (name, email, etc.) is shared with RevenueCat.

• We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information

• We do not track your location

• We do not use advertising or ad tracking

• We do not use analytics services that track individual users

• We do not share any data with third parties for marketing purposes

3. Speech Recognition

The app includes an optional voice input feature for reflections. All speech recognition is performed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. No audio data is transmitted to external servers.

4. Notifications

If you enable notifications, we schedule local notifications on your device for reminders and streak alerts. Notification preferences are stored locally and can be changed at any time in the app's settings.

5. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat processes anonymous subscription data to verify your entitlements. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store: Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All learning data is stored on your device. You can delete all app data at any time through the app's profile settings (Export & Reset). Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

To cancel a subscription, use Apple's subscription management in your device Settings or the App Store.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
